Corporate Social Responsibility

At Shrinivas (G) Educational & Research Institute of Medical Sciences (SGERIMS) we believe that a great medical college and hospital must also be a force for social good.

Guided by our goal of being the best medical college in Bihar and the best hospital in Chapra, we channel resources, talent, and time into programmes that uplift health, education and the environment across Saran district and neighbouring communities.

SERIMS

Our CSR Approach

Healthcare Outreach

Mobile diagnostic and treatment camps serving 50+ rural villages each year

Free speciality clinics every Sunday for paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, ophthalmology and orthopaedics

Annual immunisation drives in partnership with the Bihar State Health Society

Education & Empowerment

Saksham Scholarships covering full MBBS tuition and hostel fees for meritorious students from economically weaker sections

Skill-based workshops in first aid, hygiene and nutrition for government-school children

Faculty-led mentoring circles that guide local youth toward careers in medicine and allied sciences

Research for the Region

Community-centred studies on maternal mortality, childhood anaemia and vector-borne diseases, with findings shared freely with public-health authorities

Collaborative grants that develop low-cost diagnostic kits suited to rural settings

Environmental Stewardship

500 kW rooftop solar plant powering critical hospital services

Zero-single-use-plastic campus policy and on-site biomedical-waste segregation facility

Annual tree-plantation drives along the Chapra–Garkha Highway involving students, staff and village councils

Disaster & Emergency Relief

Rapid-response medical team ready for floods, heatwaves and road-traffic accidents, providing triage, tele-consultation and ambulance support within the first critical hours.

Through these initiatives, SGERIMS strives not only to teach medicine but to practise the larger art of healing-ensuring that progress within our walls translates into healthier, happier lives far beyond them.
